Push
Q: What is a push?
A: A push means the bet neither wins nor loses. The stake is returned.
It often appears on integer lines.
Example: Over/Under 2.0.
| Total goals | Over 2.0 | Under 2.0 |
|---|---|---|
| More than 2 | Full win | Full loss |
| Exactly 2 | Push | Push |
| Less than 2 | Full loss | Full win |
If you bet 100 on Over 2.0 at odds 1.90, and the match has exactly 2 goals:
\[ \text{return}=100 \]
Net profit:
\[ 100-100=0 \]
In the payout matrix, a push is usually code 100 because its return multiplier is 1.
A push makes football arbitrage more complex than simple win/loss markets, because some score states return the stake rather than fully winning or losing.
