Payout Matrix
Q: What is a payout matrix?
A: A payout matrix is the core table created after football betting rules are converted into numbers.
Rows are betting legs. Columns are score states. Each cell says how that leg settles under that score.
Example:
| Bet Type | 0:0 | 0:1 | 1:0 | 1:1 | 2:1 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ML Home | 0 | 0 | 200 | 0 | 200 |
| ML Draw | 200 | 0 | 0 | 200 | 0 |
| ML Away | 0 | 200 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| Over 2.5 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 200 |
| Under 2.5 | 200 | 200 | 200 | 200 | 0 |
The numbers are rule codes, not odds:
| Code | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 0 | Full loss |
| 50 | Half loss |
| 100 | Push |
| 150 | Half win |
| 200 | Full win |
The payout matrix answers the rule question first:
Does this group of legs cover all score states?
Only after that do real odds enter and convert rule codes into return multipliers.
