Arbitrage Leg
Q: What is an arbitrage leg?
A: An arbitrage leg is one specific bet inside a strategy.
An arbitrage strategy is usually not one bet. It is a group of bets executed together.
For example:
| Leg | Bookmaker | Odds |
|---|---|---|
| Over 2.5 | M88 | 2.05 |
| Under 2.5 | PS888 | 1.98 |
This strategy has two legs.
Each leg usually contains four pieces of information:
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| bettype | The betting direction, such as over, under, or moneyline_home |
| handicap | The market line, such as 2.5 or -0.25 |
| dealer | The bookmaker or data source |
| odd | The decimal odds |
A leg is not a standalone recommendation. It only makes sense together with the other legs under the same strategy_id.
If only one leg is executed, the remaining outcomes are no longer covered, and the position becomes a directional bet.
